Right of withdrawal

This notice is addressed to consumers. A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.

The notice applies to paid contracts concluded through this website. As long as no paid services are offered through this website, it has no practical effect. It is published here permanently nonetheless, so that it exists before the first paid contract is concluded and does not come into being only with it.

There is no statutory right of withdrawal for free access, because no paid contract exists. Free access can be ended at any time and without notice by deleting the account.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of conclusion of the contract.

by means of a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email, of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form set out below, but you are not required to do so.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In no event will you be charged any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

If you requested that the service should begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated to us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

Early commencement of the service

Access to a paid plan begins immediately on request and therefore before the withdrawal period expires. Your express consent is required for this. That consent is obtained separately before the contract is concluded. At the same time you confirm your awareness that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed the contract, and that you otherwise owe the compensation for value described above.

Where digital content is supplied other than on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires under the conditions of German law when we have begun performance, you have expressly consented, you have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and we have confirmed this to you.

Without that consent, the service begins only after the withdrawal period has expired.

Expiry and exceptions

There is no right of withdrawal for contracts that are excluded from the right of withdrawal by law. None of those exceptions applies to the access relationship offered here, except where the conditions described in the section above are met.

Note for consumers in the United Kingdom

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 grant a cancellation right of fourteen days that corresponds to the right described above. The same procedure and the same form apply.

Note for consumers outside the European Union and the United Kingdom

Where the law of your country of residence grants you a longer or more far reaching cancellation right, that right applies in addition. The right described here is a minimum, not a limit.

Difference between withdrawal and termination

Withdrawal is not the same as termination. Withdrawal undoes the contract retroactively and is possible only within fourteen days of its conclusion. Termination ends the contract for the future and is possible at any time under the rules of section 7 of the terms and conditions.
